Proms in the Paddock is a unique and hugely popular event that is brought to you each summer by Commercial Square Bonfire Society, supported by Herbert Scott. It all takes place in 'The Paddock', a long established playing field in the heart of Lewes, surrounded by beautiful trees and overlooked by Lewes' historic castle.
Gates open at 3pm when you'll be able to find the ideal spot in the Paddock and grab a pint and something to eat from the cake and BBQ stands. From 4pm you will be entertained by our great musical line up, consisting of the 'The Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band' plus a number of special guests.
This year, we are fortunate to be joined by two such guests, Jumping Jacks, bringing a unique blend of swing jive and vintage blues, and Crimson Six, a vibrant group of young musicians with an eclectic repertoire of uplifting party favourites. Read more about our Bands on the Bands page
In addition to Herbert Scott's generous backing, we are delighted that the Proms in the Paddock is also supported by Brighton and Hove High School and Richard Green Funeral Service. More information can be found on Our Supporters page

Brighton Girls is comprised of four areas that cater for girls from 3 years to 18.
Brighton Girls Nursery and Prep (3-11) is a vibrant community where girls are at the centre of everything we do. The school is situated on a purpose-built site on Radinden Manor Road in Hove. We are passionate about creating a spark in our pupils so that they develop their natural curiosity into lifelong love of learning. Our community endeavours to be inclusive, giving girls time and space to engage with and enjoy the wide range of opportunities and to build a rounded and aspirational platform for the future.
Brighton Girls Senior (11-16) fosters a stimulating and dynamic community within which girls aged 11-16 discover and develop their individual gifts and talents. The belief is that encouragement is the cornerstone of confidence and that developing independent aspiration is the key to unlocking the potential and abilities in BHHS girls. It is our experience that pupils raise their personal expectations and aspirations through inspirational teaching. We encourage them to think for themselves and to discover the excitement which intellectual curiosity brings, as well as a sense of self-worth and individuality.
Brighton Girls Sixth Form (16-18) is small and bespoke, comprising around seventy students. Most students take three A Level subjects, a list and further details of which can be viewed in their website. In addition, they offer a choice of subjects from the Liberal Arts Programme, which includes Modern Foreign Language Diplomas in French, Spanish or German, BTEC Cookery Course or Maths in Context.
